sorry, I know I haven't posted in like...I dunno how long. It feels like a long time. and sorry I haven't been reading my f-list...thought I would make a quick entry :) (this is actually an excuse to take a break from writing a paper xD)

so it'll probably be like this for a while. or at least until the end of my next set of exams. hopefully I'll have more time after that! If not...uh...then spring break I guess...ugh.

Anyway, hello! I have not abandoned LJ yet :P

I haven't been on lj in a while...>.<

So in celebration of the new year (which isn't here yet, but is in Japan) I stayed up until 5am last night to watch the Kouhaku Utagassen!! It does air here at a normal time, but I don't have cable and had to watch it using KeyholeTV which kept on freezing (right before the SMAP performance ARG) but it was still fun :) I'm sure I'll find that SMAP perf somewhere on YouTube later...hopefully...

Anyway a quick review of the Kouhaku:
-Ayumi Hamasaki went first and thankfully did not wear something outrageous this year
-Keyhole then froze and I missed AKB48 and flumpool. AKB are always fun to watch because of their...number of members 0.0 and I really wanted to see flumpool but oh well...
-Thankfully it started working again right before NYC Boys, who were decked out in flashy (literally) shirts and way too many jr's
-Then a good hour or two passed with artists that I didn't really care much for
-Porno Graffiti was great as usual :D as were Remiomeren (1 Litre of Tears) and FUNKY MONKEY BABYS followed by Yusuke
-then came TOKIOOOOOOOOO <3 <3 <3 <3 oh TOKIO how I have missed you! Release more songs pleeaasssee!
-I don't really like Perfume, but they were next and Keyhole froze again
-Which meant that I missed DBSK's perf but that's okay because it was everywhere on youtube seconds after it was over
-There were some quality perfs after this incluing Alice (Tegomass sang their song Champion a year or two ago), Angela Aki, and Yuzu
-Arashi!!!!!!! I loved their medley, it was a perfect way for them to enter Kouhaku :D
-Kobukoro was awesome as usual <3
-And Ayaka moved many to tears
-Then Keyhole decided to be a bitch and said that the channel I was watching had stopped airing or something like that and only came back until after SMAP had finished. I decided to just go to bed since it was almost 5am

Other notable perfs were SMAP's tribute to MJ WHICH WAS SLDKDJLSAKDJSDASDLSAKDJSA AWESOME I'm not really an MJ fan, but yeah. it was great. And Susan Boyle was kind of like 0.o where did she come from. AND THE TRANSLATOR STARED TRANSLATING KIMUTAKU'S ENGLISH TO HER which was hilarious :D

5. Your least favourite group? Why? Kanjani8, I dunno why. Their fans kind of scare me, and they kind of scare me, and I haven't liked any of their songs for a long time.
